I’m Becci, or Becky, or Rebecca – whichever you prefer, I’m not too fussed! I’ve recently joined Pace as an Account Manager after spending the last two years working for a digital marketing agency specialising in online retail as a Content Manager. I’ve got a big bug bear for a lack of attention to detail – especially when it comes to spelling and grammatical errors, but no I’m not the real life Grammar Vigilante! The thing that first attracted me to Pace was the passion of the team, along with the opportunity to be part of a fast-growing company.
What’s the most recent photo on your phone?
A picture of my Mum and Grandma holding their joint birthday cake – their birthdays are 3 days apart and their cake has a photo of them celebrating their birthdays 20-years ago.
Describe yourself in 3 words
Loyal, motivated and friendly.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
I used to do ballroom and latin dancing as a child and was convinced I was going to become a choreographer, then I stopped dancing and set my sights on journalism for many years.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself
I’m a proud owner of a Blue Peter badge – I won it as a part of a cycling safety competition they ran when I was about 7. It’s still one of my most prized possessions even though I’m now a homeowner.
What’s your favourite place in Hull?
I’m a faithful Hull FC fan so probably the KCOM stadium on matchdays (me and my Dad still often re-watch last year’s Challenge Cup final). I also love eating out – Gusto da Gianni on Newland Avenue is up there with my top recommendations in the area, along with Kitchenette No6 a few doors down.
What are you most looking forward to about starting at Pace?
The thing that most appealed to me at Pace was the collaborative atmosphere, you can learn so much from others by everybody working together on a range of projects – along with being able to celebrate the good results as a team!
