Heyyy! I’m Lauren and I’m Pace’s new Senior Account Exec!
Well known for my love of cats, I also like to indulge in flavoured gin, dabble in embroidery and never seem to finish a Netflix series.
Since graduating from Hull Uni with a law degree (many moons ago), I’ve worked in various admin and client services roles. I have over six years’ experience in account management within the creative industry, working for design and digital agencies across the East Yorkshire region.
My new role will see me running some of our key clients’ accounts, and supporting on some of Pace’s internal projects, which I’m really looking forward to!
Could you describe yourself in three words?
Organised. Sweet-tooth. Clumsy.
If you had to give up one form of social media, which one would it be and why?
I’d delete Facebook in a heartbeat because I never see content I’m interested in anymore; I think the only reason I keep it is the dreaded FOMO – and a seriously bad habit of checking it without even thinking!
And if you’re not on Facebook, is it even your birthday?
You’ve been tasked with getting lunch for the Pace team, what are you bringing us?
I’ll bring Pizza Hut because everyone loves Pizza; if you don’t, you’re lying. If it falls on a ‘Veggie Wednesday’ they do some pretty good vegan pizzas and the salad bar isn’t bad either (ha, who am I kidding!?).
Oh, and I definitely won’t forget the warm choc chip cookie dough 😉
Tea or coffee? Coffee, always.
Agency or in-house? Agency
Music or podcasts? If ‘Casefile’ (murder podcast) didn’t exist, music.
Do you watch Love Island? Absolutely not!
Cats or dogs? Cats
Twitter or Instagram? Instagram
What do you do to de-stress?
I absolutely love being in a body of water – I’d live in it if I could!
So, either a hot bubble bath with my favourite Lush products, or if I’m not feeling lazy after a long hard day (rare), I also really enjoy swimming.
If the above doesn’t work, follow up with a glass of sweet rosé, some Cadbury chocolate, and TV in bed.
Tell us what you love about Hull.
Hull born and bred; I’ve been here my whole life!
The people are so much friendlier than other UK cities, and we’ve seen some real change over the past couple of years following City of Culture; events, restaurants, the city centre Old Town/Fruit Market buzz! It’s all really great to see. The drinks are starting to get a bit pricey though!
What are you most looking forward to about starting at Pace?
I’m looking forward to working with a fab team of friendly colleagues and building relationships with our great clients. I’m also really excited to establish new skills, alongside my existing experience and grow with Pace as it continues to expand!
