Hi, I’m Holly. I’m a fifteen-year-old student currently studying a variety of GCSEs at Caistor Grammar School. I took Art & Design and Technology for my options, so I’m very design focused. For the past week, I’ve been on work experience at Pace, working with a variety of different people in different fields.

On my first day, after being introduced to everyone, I sat with different members of the Pace team, who talked me through current projects and their role in the office. This was extremely insightful, as I learned how many different elements there are to marketing.

On my next day, I sat with Georgia (G) and worked to a brief that is a similar style to what the design team deals with daily. I really enjoyed this process as I had to think differently to how I usually would when producing a piece of artwork. I also shadowed G and Sam to learn how they use Adobe Illustrator and create work for clients.

Here’s a mock-up of the brand I created for a honey product.

I’ve spent a lot of my time at Pace with the Digital Team which I have really benefitted from. I feel as though I could definitely research a career in this field further – I wouldn’t have expected that a week ago!

I’ve learned a lot during my week at Pace: how agencies interact with clients, how much work goes into creating a brand and how website content can be edited and added to.

I’ve really enjoyed working with everyone at Pace, they’re all so helpful. In the future, I can definitely see myself working somewhere like Pace.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Pace for being so lovely, genuine and helpful!
